In the thinking of the Panda from Kung Fu Panda, this is nothing sort of general awesomeness. It looks like you made this in the early 70s - new and healthy ideas, free pot, and a lot of artistic creativity. The hair's mesmerizing. I tried having hair like this. Couldn't.
His skin glows, and it shows. The other haunting aspect - eyes. Large, beautiful, abstractedly haunting eyes. You know the eyes which look into you if you look into them? Those kind of eyes. Hmm. Wonder whose eyes do I keep getting reminded of when I look at your boy. Hmm...
Do more abstract stuff, I think you are jolly bloody good at abstract. And also: classic. And also: cities which don't have power.
Still mentioning: do paint trying to keep yourself absolutely still, where you have no idea where the paint is falling. And it mixes with sweat.
ahh another masterpiece. I remember seeing a photograph of this kid on deviantart or artattack; not too sure which one. I am guessing it was a daily deviant once. You have translated it into your digital medium just as beautifully. The chalky grunge effect works brilliantly to bring out the whole mood of the frame. You should do more of these.
yes yes it was a daily deviant once! and so completely fell in love with it. asked the artist for the permission to translate it into a portrait.. he never replied and thats why this is not on my deviantart page. these guilty pleasures are reserved for 'my area'
